Vibram Factory will feature once more Milano Montagna

After the success of 2015 edition, the Vibram Factory, the contest that celebrates innovation and the sport design, comes back to target young designers, students and mountain and outdoor sports enthusiasts.

Vibram Factory is the result of a collaboration between Vibram and the artistic direction of Milano Montagna, the mountain festival to be held from 6 to 8 October 2016 that will gather the community of mountain lovers by the Fabbrica del Vapore, over three days full of meetings and events.

Vibram Factory, an incubator of ideas and projects aimed to support innovation, addresses students, professionals, designers and mountain enthusiasts who have created or are developing projects, equipment and technologies for activities in outdoor sport environments. They will have the extraordinary chance to exhibit their own ideas and inventions, completely free of charge, to industry experts as well as to a big audience of mountain lovers.

The projects will be examined by the Milan Montagna Design Awards jury, composed by Alberto Meda (Chairman, recently awarded with a new Compasso D’Oro), Riccardo Blumer, Marc Sadler, Martino Colonna and Silvia Nani, and by Massimo Randone and Robert Fliri for Vibram. The best projects featuring rubber as a primary ingredient will be awarded with a special prize by Vibram.

All people interested can present their own projects (individually or in groups) no matter their stages of development, from the graphical representation in 3D, to the prototypes themselves. To get registered they just have to fill in the online form at http://www.milanomontagna.it/VibramFactory.htm and send it to vibramfactory@milanomontagna.it by 30 July 2016, attaching photos and/or rendering, without any registration or participation charge. By September 1, 2016 the selected projects will be unveiled, receiving instructions on when and how to deliver the prototypes to join the contest.
