Vibram will be once again the official sponsor of the Lavaredo Ultra Trail, scheduled from 22 to 25 June 2017 in Cortina d'Ampezzo (Italy), in the amazing scenario of the Dolomites, a favorite destination for sportsmen and outdoor enthusiasts.
Vibram will join the competition with athletes from the Trailrunning Team Vibram, engaged in the various races, and will take the field with also the Vibram Sole Factor truck.
Lithuanian Gediminas Grinius, Russian Yulia Baykova and the new entry Juliette Blanchet will run the Lavaredo Ultra Trail - the queen race that is part of the circuit of the Ultra Trail World Tour - facing 120 km with 5,800-meter D+. The competition will kick off on Friday June 23, with the first arrival scheduled on the morning of the following day. Marco Zanchi will be among the 1,500 participants of Cortina Trail, the 48 km race with 2,600 meter D+.
On the other hand, by the Sole Factor truck, located in the area in front of the Olympic Ice Stadium, Vibram staff will give visitors the opportunity to test an absolute preview of the innovative Vibram Litebase, a brand new technology designed to drastically reduce the weight of the sole up to 30%, while maintaining the characteristics of grip, traction and wear resistance of a traditional Vibram sole. The tests will be carried out on shoes featuring the brand new Vibram Zegalite LB sole, with both Vibram Litebase and Vibram Megagrip technologies. Additionally, the first lucky visitors of the truck will also have the chance to upgrade their own footwear with a new sole by Vibram. Inside the truck, shoemakers will perform the sophisticated shoe resin processing, with a Vibram Zegalite LB sole. Approximately 20 upgrades per day will be made, depending on the type of shoe and on time available.
For all 3,400 athletes involved in the races - including the Skyrace – as well as the public joining the event, a long weekend of sport is just about to come.
