Vibram, leader in the development and manufacturing of high-performance rubber soles, will be in Finale Ligure with its Sole Factor truck for two of the most important sporting events in the seaside town - Finale for Nepal and Finale Ligure On Wheels.
FINALE FOR NEPAL, to be held in Finalborgo (Finale Ligure) between Friday 23rd September and Sunday 25th, is the sporting event dedicated to climbing, which has been organised to promote supportive initiatives and projects in Nepal. The event, now in its seventh edition, will include the adults' bouldering race this year on Saturday and activities for children on the Sunday. This is over and above the slackline and downhill competitions and a trail running race that Vibram is proud to support as the title sponsor. Vibram will set up its "home base" in Piazza di Porta Testa with its Sole Factor truck and will be there for climbers that would like to resole their climbing shoes by applying a rubber sole made with the Vibram XSGRIP2 or Vibram XSEDGE compound. The number of resoles that can be carried out will be evaluated by the truck manager based on the number of requests and the time available. The event is being organised in collaboration with La Sportiva.
VIBRAM “MEGAGRIP” TEST DAYS: Following on from the climbing weekend, Vibram “Megagrip” Test Days will be held in collaboration with a few stores in Finale Borgo: _ Monday 26: testing of the SCARPA trail running shoes at FinaleClimb _ Tuesday 27: testing of the LA SPORTIVA approach shoes at Rockstore _ Wednesday 28: testing of the HOKA trail running shoes at Crazy Store. This will be the chance for anyone interested to put the outstanding performance of the Vibram Megagrip compound to the test on wet rock, thanks to the specially installed test ramp. Results are guaranteed! The Sole Factor truck will also be in Piazza di Testa, offering the chance for people to see the sophisticated upgrading techniques used to apply the Vibram sole up close. The first lucky few to go to the truck will get the chance to experience the transformation of their trail running or approach footwear first hand. Once again, the number of resolings is limited and restricted by the time available.
FINALE LIGURE ON WHEELS: The program continues with “F.L.O.W. Finale Ligure On Wheels”, where the Vibram Sole Factor truck is holding an event for all the lovers of the biking world between the 30th September and the 3rd of October. This time it will be held on the promenade, in the centre of the stunning town, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. This event will see the best enduro riders in the world contending for the winning title of the Enduro World Series, in an engaging event that will involve mountain biking, meeting cycling "giants" and lots of fun. The truck will be open to the public, offering its improvement service for mountain bike, downhill and enduro shoes, as well as all mountain footwear. The brand new Vibram Maerengue sole is set to be the star, with its hybrid design: sculpted and bold on the toe and heel (made from the Vibram Megagrip compound), smooth and edgy in the pedal area (made from the Vibram Idrogrip compound). This is the latest innovation from Vibram which guarantees outstanding balance between traction and grip.
